Overview

Nathan recalled spending the entire month of April 2023 on PCI Compliance with his clients, which was a tremendous drain on his time and resources. He spent an extraordinary amount of time explaining to them what it is and why they need to care about it. He helped them complete their mandatory audits, but when he learned that Secure Payments could take this off his plate, he was eager and excited to get started. Challenges

His clients required help with PCI compliance and each had unique needs with different types of merchant accounts.

They came to him in a panic after receiving an email requesting that they complete an audit and fill out an SAQ form by the end of the month. Nathan understood that PCI compliance fell under the security services his clients were already providing their customers, and he couldn’t just ignore his clients’ requests even though he wasn’t qualified to assist. 

Nathan’s problem was that he was not an expert in PCI compliance and he knew he needed expert and qualified help.

“It’s great to not have to think about PCI compliance anymore, knowing my clients are covered by the best — especially in the spring when I’d have to do 15 to 20 audits.”

Results

Secure Payments took something very time-consuming and complex off his plate. “As an MSP owner, it’s always important to try and offload these kinds of things,” said Nathan.

No one else in the company knew the intricacies of PCI compliance well enough to take it off his plate — not without hiring someone specifically qualified for that role. As of today, all of Nathan’s clients have gone through a consultation with Secure Payments. They’ve been determined to be already secure, not secure and they know it, or they’ve been moved to the Secure Payments platform, which provides a small rebate payment back to his MSP.
